Deadly stuff... Got a bunch to do for my 1940 games but more tanks keep getting ahead of them in the queue!
Oh and check the old Battlefield/Blitz line of refugees... Some great ones there, if they are OOP which I think they may be, drop me a line as I have a few you can have for nowt.
Piers@ Thanks for that.
They look seriously dejected and depressed. Great amount of detail there.
Nice work mate, its those little extras that make a good looking game.
Really nice work Lurker. They will add a nice touch to your games.
You are quite right, civillians will always be the losers in a war no matter which side will win!You have done great work with these! Really looking good!A special scenario where one side needs to escort them to safety, could well work!
They look thoroughly dejected. And why wouldn't they? Good work, Fran!
All lined up ready for strafing - how convenient!Lovely job mae
A much neglected subject. That's some nice work Fran!Where are the Stukas????T.
They do look sad and dejected. Carrying their few belongings with them and trudging to God knows where. A sobering thought for the day.
These beautiful figures only need the poor folks with a baby carriage full of possessions. I have seen that image many times in WW II documentaries.
Nice set of figures. Your WW2 stuff is coming together great. How to you find the time?cheersPaul
paulalba@ Quite slow at work at the moment.
nice job Angry. I just cant get over your output - you always have something new up. Thats what she said.
Very nice. Not only the figures, but the terrain piece on which they stand, as well.
Nice job, and they can work fora lot of settings, also.
seeing refugees is always an extremely sad thing for me. Serbia is the second country in the world with the biggest number of accepted refugees. When war started in Bosnia and Croatia we had half a million of them fleeing here. We still have more than 200,000 of them living here permanently. And my people were themselves refugees in WW1 and WW2 since we were surrounded by Nazi countries and enemies. Very sad.
More sniper targets! those pesky civillians they always seem to get in the line of fire!
Those poor little refugees, getting all displaced by miniature warfare. lol.
cute trees and the colorful people ,pretty.
they look great, now you need a stuka to dive bomb them lol
Those a some nicely painted figures.
nice paintjob mate! project is coming along nicely it seems
So what purpose would civilians have in a game? I'm guessing authenticity or eye candy.
A nice looking group of miserable and sad refuges. These citizens should add a bit of spice to the hearty battles of the Table-top Wars.
Nice work there.
RE:DWei...civilians can be a menace, or a help, to either side of the conflict: by assisting or hindering the troops, if so inclined. Specifically, both animals and citizens can clog up the roadway and perhaps slow down advance or retreat.
My twisted imaginations pictures a low flying fighter strafing them.
They look so downtrodden. Excellent work!
Great stuff Francois!!
Do they do anything? I mean, do they get in the way of advancing or are they just scenery?
Really nice work. I like the two poor sods pulling the hand cart.Great stuff!
Looks like a crap load of work to do. Very cool. Hope you're having an oogie boogie week.
Your models really make me feel bad, bring to my eyes the photos and images of the real refugees. Excellent work, Angry
Top work old boy.
whats the purpose of these? cannon fodder? hostages?
Bart@ All of the above I'm afraid.
Makes me think of Robert E. Lee: "It is well that war is so terrible -- lest we should grow too fond of it."
they sure are in a hurry to get away from something.
I like how those very real-looking trees have their roots in the soil, that is some good work too.
Cool painted figures. Not something I ever see on a games table usually.Cheers
I was thinking the same as Bart. Those poor guys would make great cannon fodder hahaha
Lovely work Fran. Nicely lined up as well for the Stuka runs.
Gameplaywise what do they do? Or do they just add flavor to the battlefield.
Nice figs as always!Jason
